4-Day Amboseli & Kilimanjaro Safari

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 : Nairobi → Amboseli National Park

Depart Nairobi at 08:00 heading southeast through the vast Athi-Kapiti plains. Arrive Amboseli by midday, entering through the park’s northern gate. Check in at your lodge with direct views of Kilimanjaro. Afternoon game drive on the open plains — this hour is prime for elephant sightings. Dinner with Kilimanjaro glowing pink at dusk.

Day 2 : Dawn Photography Drive & Observation Hill

Rise at 05:30 for the golden hour — Kilimanjaro is clearest at dawn before clouds gather. Extended photography game drive with your guide positioning the vehicle for the perfect shots. Mid-morning visit to Observation Hill for 360° panoramic views of the park’s swamps, plains, and the mountain. Afternoon drive through the Enkongo Narok swamp area — rich with buffalo, hippos, and a spectacular diversity of birds.

Day 3 : Full Day Amboseli — Lions & Cheetahs

Two full game drives today focused on predator tracking. Your guide uses radio communication with other rangers to locate lion prides and cheetah families. Late afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai boma for a cultural exchange — witness the jumping dance, tour the village, and browse local beadwork. Campfire storytelling and dinner under the stars.

Day 4 : Final Drive → Return to Nairobi

Last early morning drive — a final chance for that perfect Kilimanjaro photograph. Bush breakfast in the field. Depart for Nairobi by 10:00. Arrive in Nairobi by early afternoon. Transfer to your hotel or JKIA.
