Built on higher ground inside Tsavo East, Voi Safari Lodge looks out over three separate waterholes and the endless plains below, a genuinely striking setting for a lodge in this price range. A network of walkways and viewing points bring you closer to the water without leaving the property, and a dedicated photography hide lets you shoot wildlife at close range and eye level, a feature not every Tsavo lodge offers.

With 25 rooms, solar power, and straightforward comforts, en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, tea and coffee facilities, this is a practical, no-frills option rather than a luxury stay. Guest feedback rates the food as average, worth setting realistic expectations, but the wildlife viewing and setting are the real draw here.

What to Expect

Game drives. Morning and afternoon drives into Tsavo East National Park, with your own driver guide throughout your stay, and virtually no transfer time given the lodge’s location inside the park.

Waterhole and wildlife viewing. Direct views over three waterholes from the lodge itself, including a dedicated photography hide.

Dining. A restaurant with average, functional food, this is a lodge chosen for setting and value rather than dining.

Facilities. An outdoor pool, bar/lounge, and solar-powered rooms.
