3 Days Kenya Safari (Taita Hills & Tsavo East)

Departing from Watamu, embark on a 3-day Kenya safari adventure through the Taita Hills and Tsavo East . Spot elephants, lions, and a variety of wildlife in their natural habitats.

Full Itinerary

Day 1: Watamu – Taita Hills

  • Departure from Watamu around 6:00 am to reach the luxury Taita Hills Sanctuary park, the only one where it is possible to go on a night safari accompanied by rangers.Taita Hills Sanctuary is a protected nature reserve located in southeastern Kenya, spanning over 28,000 acres of savannah grasslands and dense forest. The sanctuary offers visitors a unique opportunity to see exotic African animals in their natural habitat, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, and impalas. The reserve boasts several environmental initiatives aimed at preserving the area’s biodiversity and sustainability, creating an ideal habitat for hundreds of bird species.
  • We arrive at the lodge at 10:00 to check in. We set off for a game drive, then return for lunch.
  • Rest until around 3.45pm, when we will set off again for the game drive until sunset.
  • Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Possibility of a night safari, ideal for spotting lions and other predators, free from the sun and heat of the day (to be requested separately).

Day 2 – Tsavo East

  • We set off early in the morning for the game drive to enjoy the cool air before the heat arrives.
  • We return for breakfast and around 9:30 we leave again, heading for Tsavo East National Park.
  • In about 45 minutes we arrive at the park and go on a game drive until lunchtime.
  • We head to the lodge for check-in and lunch.
  • Relax until 3pm, when we set off again for a game drive until sunset.
  • At sunset I return for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 – Tsavo East – Watamu

  • Breakfast at 5.30 and at 6.00 departure for another game drive, until 10.30.
  • Slowly we head towards the exit and get back on the road to Watamu.
  • We can stop at the Green Hill school, supported by the For Kenya Ets association, to learn about the development and cooperation projects carried out in these areas.
  • Arrive in Watamu around 1:00 PM, and enjoy lunch at the hotel.

  • All transfers aboard a special 4×4 jeep with a sunroof for photo safaris.
  • Entrance tickets to all parks.
  • Overnight stay on an all-inclusive basis (drinks not included with meals)
  • Bottled mineral water during all game drives
  • Licensed local guide with regular license
  • Professional local driver licensed for safari driving (can also be the guide himself)
  • Full safari insurance (replacement vehicle, rescue service, etc.)
