Set in the middle of Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge overlooks the lake and surrounding hills from an elevated position, a genuinely serene view that guests consistently mention as a highlight. Rooms feature an elongated glass wall along one side, letting you take in the view without leaving your bed, a distinctive touch not every lodge offers.
The lodge earns some of the strongest guest ratings in the entire Nakuru area, with particular praise for dining, staff go out of their way to accommodate dietary needs, and the restaurant varies its menu daily rather than repeating the same buffet each night. It’s a smaller property than some of its neighbors, 60 rooms, which contributes to the more personal, attentive service guests describe.
What to Expect
Game drives. Morning and afternoon drives into Lake Nakuru National Park, with your own driver guide throughout your stay, and minimal transfer time given the lodge’s central position in the park.
Dining. A restaurant with a different menu each day, and a strong reputation for accommodating dietary requirements.
Facilities. An outdoor pool and a hilltop setting with panoramic lake and hill views from the lodge itself.
Good for. Couples and families wanting an especially scenic, well reviewed stay, and travelers with specific dietary needs who want confidence they’ll be well looked after.
