Diani, Malindi, Mombasa, Watamu
1–4 nights
Private & tailor-made
Established 1995
If you're staying in Diani, Malindi, Mombasa or Watamu, you don't need to fly to Nairobi before your safari. Tsavo East and Tsavo West are both a few hours away by road, and Amboseli is reachable by air direct from the coast. We plan private safaris from the coast, tailor made around your dates, your budget and what you want to see. Every trip is your own vehicle and your own guide, no fixed group departures. We've been doing this since 1995.
Each park below has its own page with full details, wildlife, best time to visit, and packages specific to that destination.
Share your dates, how many days you have, and what you want to see.
We put together an itinerary with parks, lodges and pricing, then adjust it with you until it's right.
Once you're happy, we lock in park entries, accommodation and your vehicle and guide.
Your guide meets you in Nairobi. We stay reachable for the whole trip, not just before you book.
Most safari planning assumes you’re starting in Nairobi. If you’re on the coast, that means an extra flight or a long drive before your safari even begins. Starting locally skips that entirely.
Tsavo East is the closest major park to the coast. About 2 hours from Mombasa, 2.5 from Diani, 3 from Malindi. No other big park in Kenya is this close to a beach destination.
You can do a safari without losing a beach day. A 1 day Tsavo East trip gets you back to your hotel the same evening. Even a 2 or 3 day safari only takes a small bite out of a two week coast holiday.
Amboseli is still reachable, without the Nairobi detour. Fly directly from Mombasa or Diani into Amboseli, seeing Mount Kilimanjaro and the elephant herds without routing through the capital first.
About 2.5 hours by road, the most popular safari choice for travellers staying on the South Coast.
Yes, a 1 day Tsavo East safari picks you up around 4.30am and has you back at your hotel by early evening, no overnight stay needed.
Yes, we arrange fly-in safaris direct from Mombasa or Diani to Amboseli, then fly you back to the coast afterward.
A 1 day trip barely touches it, you’re back the same evening. Even a 2 or 3 day safari is a small portion of a typical week or two week coast stay.
Tsavo offers a genuinely different experience from the Mara or Amboseli, red elephants, volcanic scenery, fewer crowds, it’s not a lesser version, just a different one, and far more convenient if you’re already on the coast.
Most visitors need a Kenya eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization), applied for online before travel. We’ll guide you through it after you book.
